The desert represented precisely that: freedom of flight, an open landscape, and demanding conditions. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical challenges and planning<\/h2>\n\n<p>Flying in the Sahara involves facing very different factors than usual:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Large temperature variations between day and night<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Changing winds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scarcity of visual landmarks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long distances without infrastructure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The planning had to be extremely precise.
