The goal was to complete an aerial crossing over the Kilimanjaro massif, Africa&#8217;s highest peak, at 5,895 meters. <\/p>\n\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t just about flying in a spectacular environment, but about facing the conditions of the high mountains: changing weather, lower air density and extremely precise planning.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical challenges<\/h2>\n\n<p>Flying in high mountains forces a rethinking of many usual operational aspects.<\/p>\n\n<p>This expedition was fundamental in:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Analyze the winds at height in detail<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Precisely adjust fuel calculations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Adapting systems to cold conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan the ascent gradually to safely overcome the mountain range<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Every decision had to be supported by reliable meteorological data and a constant assessment of the environment.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The journey<\/h2>\n\n<p>The crossing of Kilimanjaro was a technically and humanly intense experience.
